The Papuan People's Assembly and the Papuan People's Representative Council were asked to facilitate the KPK in resolving the case of Governor Lukas Enembe.
"The MRP and the DPRP should approach traditional elders from mountainous areas, such as Wamena, Tolikara, and other Papuan figures in Jayapura. Make a written agreement, only then will Mr. Lukas be examined," said the Head of the Daiget Tribe from Keerom Papua Servo. Tuamis in his statement, Monday, October 3, 2022.
According to him, this step is very possible considering that the figures who sit in the two institutions chosen by the people are mostly from mountainous areas, so they will easily coordinate.
"Those who sit in these two institutions we choose. They must also have a responsibility. They must not sit idly by waiting for a clash to occur," he said.
If this approach with traditional elders and Papuan leaders is successful, according to him, the KPK does not need to resort to coercive measures that could result in fatalities.
This statement was made by Servo Tuamis regarding the fact that there are still hundreds of Lukas supporters on guard around Lukas Enembe's house in Jayapura. The supporters claim that the determination of the Papua Governor as a suspect is criminalization and politicization.
Servo also agreed with other Papuan figures who wanted the KPK to complete the legal process for the alleged corruption of Lukas Enembe.
"The legal process is for improvement so that in the future whoever becomes a leader does not do things that are not good, and the people can enjoy this development well," said Servo.
The KPK is trying to avoid the forced pick-up of Papua Governor Lukas Enembe in the alleged gratification case. This is to prevent the risks that will arise. The KPK prioritizes a persuasive approach so that the Governor of Papua, Lukas Enembe, cooperates in responding to the investigator's summons.
"We are still continuing to take a persuasive approach so that the person concerned is cooperative. We will continue to respect the health of the person concerned.
