The people of Jayapura are currently attacking cheap cooking oil (Migor) which is sold for Rp. 14,000/liter with the brand "oilita".
GM Saga Abepura Haris Manuputti told Antara, Saturday in Abepura, Jayapura City, admitting that people are enthusiastic about buying cheap high-priced migraineurs because they seem to be immediately invaded and sold out because there are no restrictions for buyers.
"Olilita" is a program from the Ministry of Trade and SAGA Jayapura took from PT Wijaya and for the initial stage three containers containing 4,500 cartons have arrived.
A total of 4,500 cartons containing 12 one-liter bottles were sold for Rp. 14,000/liter, which were distributed at various outlets owned by SAGA.
The cheap "oilita" brand of Migor is only sold at outlets owned by SAGA in Jayapura City and Regency, explained Haris Manuputti.
The Investigating Officer for Civil Servants (PPNS) of Disperindagkop and MSMEs in Papua, Eko Irianto, separately admitted that there were several suppliers supplying cheap "oilita" migrants which were supplied to Timika and Merauke.
Six containers were brought in Timika and 13 containers from Merauke.
Meanwhile, other areas in Papua are currently being explored considering the high cost of various materials needed by the community due to high transportation costs.
Some residents said they were happy with the cheap cooking oil program, so they bought it in large quantities.
"I was forced to postpone buying several types of necessities because I bought large quantities of Migor," said Deborah, who admitted that she deliberately bought in large quantities because it could reduce the selling price of the cakes she makes and sells.
