The commander of Korem 172/PWY, Brigadier General JO Sembiring, said the territorial operation of the TNI TW-III 2022 Korem 172/PWY in Kenyam District, Nduga Regency, Papua, is a form of synergy to help accelerate infrastructure and economic development.
The selection of Nduga Regency as the target of TNI's territorial operations in the Korem 172/PWY area is a form of concern for the TNI commander and the Army Chief of Staff for this area.
In addition, this activity is one of the steps taken by the TNI leadership to respond to the president's instructions to create peace, peace and prosperity in the Land of Papua. "Indeed, we chose Nduga Regency to realize the spirit of developing the area," he said.
According to him, the spirit of development should be supported by all parties, not only the local government and the Indonesian National Police, but also all stakeholders, including religious leaders, community leaders, traditional leaders and local youth leaders.
"Let's build together so that Nduga Regency is the same as other regions in Papua," said Sembiring.
The acting Regent of Nduga, Namia Gwijangge, expressed her gratitude and welcomed the territorial operation of Korem 172/PWY in Kenyam.
Through the declaration of the synergy of builders in Nduga Regency, they hope that there will be an acceleration of development in all sectors, both human resource development, economy, infrastructure, and socio-culture. "We have made a synergistic commitment to build Nduga," said Gwijangge.
Separately, the Head of the Indonesian GPdI Church in the Nduga Regency area, Pastor Izak Murib, emphasized that from now on the security conditions in Nduga Regency must be safe and conducive.
“Thank you for the renovation help for our church. We support the efforts of the TNI-Polri in maintaining security in Kab. Nduga and we are ready to help for the progress of this area," he said.
The territorial operation of Korem 172/PWY will be carried out until September 30 by involving 150 TNI personnel, police, Nduga Regency Government, and the community with physical targets including the construction of seven units of community kiosks measuring 3x4 meters, the repair of one unit of the Gospel Camp Church and the construction of a pigsty. .
