500 Red and White Flags Flying in Banti Village to Opitawak Tembagapura



A total of 500 red and white flags flew in Banti Village to Opitawak Tembagapura, Monday (1/7/2022). Hundreds of these flags were installed by joint personnel of the TNI and Polri in Tembagapura.

The raising of the red and white flag along the PT Freeport Indonesia area is in commemoration of the 77th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia in 2022.
 
The Chief of the Tembagapura Police, AKP A Dahlan, conveyed that this activity was carried out in order to enliven the Indonesian Independence Day. With the raising of the Indonesian flag, it is hoped that it can create love for the Republic of Indonesia.

"In order to instill a sense of nationalism and our love for the Indonesian homeland, we together with all joint TNI-Polri personnel raised the Red and White Flag starting from Banti Gate, Utikini, Landslide, Kimbeli to Opitawak," said A Dahlan quoted from the official Papuan Police portal, Monday. (1/8/2022).
 
No less interesting, the personnel also invited the community to raise the red and white flag together throughout the village.
