The Jayapura Regency Government handed over 5000 tilapia seeds for Dondai residents

The Jayapura Regency Government, Papua, through the local Fisheries and Marine Service, handed over 5000 tilapia seeds to residents of Dondai Village, Waibu District in the area.

Assistant II for the Economy and Development of the Regional Secretariat of Jayapura Regency, Joko Sunaryo, in Sentani, Saturday, said that the provision of Tilapia fish was related to the preparation of the Sixth Indigenous Peoples Congress of the Archipelago (KMAN) on the 'Kenambai Umbai' Earth.

"So that during the KMAN congress the community can prepare fish for consumption by participants," he said.

According to Joko, this is a concrete step from the relevant agencies to support the success of the KMAN congress in Jayapura Regency.

He explained that after giving the fish seeds, in the future the community group would manage it until the harvest period.

"So apart from that, we will also seek the results of the residents' gardens so that when KMAN will be served local food for the guests who come," he said.

He added that his party appreciated the leadership of the Regional Apparatus Organization (OPD) who had worked optimally in supporting the success of the KMAN congress.

"Especially in preparing local food, which has now begun, namely in planting corn in Toware, Kwadeware Village, Waibu District," he said again.
