After carrying out the murder, Bocor Sobolim and his troops brought the victim's head home to be used as evidence of their own brutality to threaten the sovereignty of the Republic of Indonesia.
OPM spokesman Sebby Sambom even boasted of urging the Indonesian government to bring the victim's head to President Jokowi in Jakarta.

The killings in Yahukimo occurred only three days after the Papuan KKB carried out the massacre of 10 civilians in Nduga Regency.
In a video circulating on social media, the Papuan KKB appears to show the head of a civilian after being beheaded.
According to the Papuan KKB's claim, the civilian is a TNI intelligence officer disguised as a gold miner in Korowai, Yahukimo Regency.
In a written message, Sebby Sambom, a spokesman for the Papuan KKB or known as the spokesman for the OPM, stated that the attack was carried out by a group led by the commander of the Bocor Sobolim commander.
After carrying out the execution, the Papuan KKB then beheaded the victim and recorded it into a video.
Through the video, the Papuan KKB led by Bocor Sobolim asked the Indonesian government to immediately evacuate the bodies of the victims.
Not only that, the Papuan KKB also requested that the bodies of the victims be sent to President Joko Widodo or Jokowi.
The Indonesian government immediately evacuated the bodies of the victims and sent them to President Jokowi at the State Palace in Jakarta,

KKB Papua massacres 10 civilians in Nduga
The Armed Criminal Group ( KKB ) in Nduga attacked and opened fire on civilians, 10 people were pronounced dead in this massacre.
A total of 10 civilians died in Nanggulait Village, Nduga Regency, Papua, Saturday (16/7/2022) morning.
This number increased after one victim named Sudirman (36), previously experienced a critical condition.

Kombes Kamal said that nine of the dead were evacuated to Timika, Mimika Regency.
Meanwhile, the other body was taken by his family for burial in Kenyam District, the capital of Nduga Regency.
"The two injured victims were also evacuated to Timika," said Kamal.
