Welcoming Christmas, UN Shares Love with People with Disabilities in Papua



The Executive Board (DPD) of the United Batak Youth (PBB) Papua Province shared their greetings of welcoming Christmas to the State Special School (SLB) of the Papua Province Trustees at Buper Waena, Friday 10 December 2021. A visit and giving of Christmas gifts, as a manifestation of the United Nations motto " One Feeling One Soul".

The head of the Papua Province DPD PBB, Tulus Sianipar, handed over assistance in the form of basic necessities which were received by the Principal of the SLB Negeri Perdana, Irwanto Paerunan. "This action is part of the social work that is the focus of the United Nations in Papua," he explained.
 
Tulus continued, according to the United Nations motto, which is one feeling, one soul, the United Nations really appreciates and is grateful for the work and dedication of school administrators, starting from school principals, staff and teachers at the SLB supervisors.
 
"We are grateful to God, because there are people who want to dedicate their service to educating, teaching and fostering children with special needs," added Tulus.

Tulus hopes that all levels of society can support this special school with special needs.

During the visit, the Secretary of the UN DPD Papua Province, Naek Sahala Mangaraja and the Treasurer of the UN DPD Papua Province, Saroha Hutasoit, were also seen.
