The Jayawijaya Regency Government of Papua has asphalted three district roads

The Jayawijaya Regency Government, Papua Province has paved roads connecting the three districts, where the road improvement will be completed by the end of 2021.

Regent Jhon Richard Banua in Wamena, Wednesday, said the road connects Ibele, Tailarek and Pelebaga Districts.

"This is an improvement. We can see that most of Ibele, Tailarek are already asphalted, Pelebaga has also hardened so it just needs to be paved, so it will be finished by the end of this year," he said.

The government is trying to improve the roads so that people get access to decent roads compared to before.

"In Pelebaga it is almost 1,700 kilometers, in Ibele it is 1,400 kilometers. Indeed, there is a difference in distance," he said.

The source of funds for the improvement of the roads comes from the Papua Province Regional Budget.

"Including the road from Wouma to Asotipo, the source of funds is the same," he said.

The government expects contractors to pay attention to the quality of the work carried out so that they can last longer.
