The Papuan Provincial Government through the Papuan Youth and Sports Office handed over six match venues and equipment to the XVI Peparnas Grand Committee which will be used for the multi-disability event which will take place on 2-15 November 2021.
The handover of the venue and equipment to PB Peparnas XVI coincided with the release of the Papuan contingent and the handover of the Papuan NPC athlete development master plan book to the Governor of Papua, in the area of the Lukas Enembe Stadium, Friday (29/10).
The symbolic handover was carried out by Kadisorda Papua Alexander Kapisa to the Daily Chairperson of PB Peparnas XVI Papua Doren Wakerkwa.
The six venues are Istora Papua Bangkit, Lukas Enembe Stadium, Aquatic Arena, GOR Cenderawasih, Kampung Harapan Archery Arena and Indoor Shooting Arena.
"These six venues are under the supervision of the Papuan government through the Disorda and are handed over and will be used for the implementation of the XVI Papua National Peparnas," said Alexander Kapisa.
It is known that during the disability event, there will be 12 sports, 617 match numbers spread over two zones, namely Jayapura City and Jayapura Regency.
While the number of participating athletes and officials is 2725 people who will compete from 33 provinces throughout Indonesia.
