The joint statement was made at the Sereh Sentani Tribe Hall on Wednesday (30/6) afternoon, attended by five traditional leaders, namely Ondoafi Besar Keerom Regency, Herman Yoku, Ondofolo Sentani, Yanto Ohee, Traditional Leaders of the Central Highlands of Papua Sem Kogoya, Ondo Max Ohee , the son of a Pepera (People's Opinion Determination) fighter in 1969 and a young Papuan leader Ali Kabiay.
Ondofolo Yanto Ohee, who is also the son of the Free Papuan fighter in the 90s, They H Eluay, explained about the status of Papua in the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).
“Papua has finalized its integration with the Republic of Indonesia, so no one else should try to pry into this issue. The 1969 Act of Free Choice proved that traditional representation at that time supported the integration of Papua into the Republic of Indonesia,” he said.
Meanwhile, Sem Kogoya as the representative of the Papuan Tengaj Mountains Leader also asked the apparatus to be firm in eradicating the Armed Selarat Group.
