The Jayapura City Government is currently embracing public transport drivers and craftsmen to participate in the success of the XX PON which will be held from 2-15 October.
There are 430 public transport drivers who are ready to serve the troops participating in the PON, said Jayapura Mayor Benhur Tomi Mano to Antara, Saturday in Jayapura.
It is said that the prepared public transport drivers will serve the participants who come and they (the drivers) will take them to visit tourist attractions in the city.
In addition, his party will also embrace the craftsmen who will sell various handicrafts they make.
“The city government is trying to get all elements of society involved. And take part in a sporting event that is being held for the first time in Papua,” said BTM.
22 sports will be competed in various venues in Jayapura City.
XX PON in Papua will be held in four regencies and cities, namely Jayapura, Merauke and Kab. Mimika.
