The Police do not only take a hard approach in dealing with the Armed Criminal Group (KKB). Soft approach efforts in handling KKB activities through dialogue were also carried out, including inviting groups that often carried out terror together to build Papua.
"We invite both to use dialogue, we invite the people who are there. For example, inviting the KKB to come down, please so he wants to work together to build Papua. We invite everyone, no problem," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Argo Yuwono told reporters in Jakarta, Monday (31/5).
Argo said, the TNI and Polri will jointly provide education to the public on how to improve the quality of life. According to Argo, there is such a thing as Binmas Nokken, as well as territories from the Indonesian Army and from the police. Together, we will educate the public on how to grow crops, how to raise livestock. Of course, it will improve the quality of life of the Papuan people with various skills.
"We train, and we invite our friends who are still in the mountains. We invite, together with the local government, traditional leaders, let's invite down and build the area," said Argo.
Argo said that the National Police had invited regional leaders to dialogue whose areas were prone to and frequent KKB acts of terror, such as Intan Jaya Regency, Mimika Regency, Puncak Regency, and Nduga Regency.
"We invite dialogue, there is the regent. We invite the regents who are vulnerable to the KKB. We ask what the problems are there, what the people want, especially the KKB. the regent, conveyed to the TNI Commander and the National Police Chief that we will accommodate and convey to the President. The point is that we invite the regents, we have dialogue, we invite to talk to solve problems. So who knows later from the groups in Papua there can step down , and join forces to build a better Papua," said Argo.
