In line with this, the expansion of the new autonomous regions that have been programmed by the central government is aimed at improving people's welfare and economic equality in Papua and West Papua.

According to him, the expansion of the province of Papua, which is the current program of the central government, is the aspiration of the community that has been conveyed since ten years ago.
"Prayers and hopes for today will be fulfilled if the central government wants to implement the expansion of provinces and even city districts," said Maury.
He emphasized that this was a positive step towards developing Papuan land and this was the aspiration of the people who had been waiting for a long time.
