PT Telkom Papua prepares a task force team (task force) related to internet network readiness ahead of the XX National Sports Week (PON) in 2021 at Cenderawasih Earth. PT Telkom Papua Papua Solution Government Service Manager Asrif said that his party has also planned and prepared scenarios to anticipate the obstacles that will be faced in the implementation of PON XX.
"Indeed, when organizing a match that will use the application or broadcasting it will be very crucial," Asrif said, Wednesday (5/5).
According to Asrif, Telkom has formed a task force and has analyzed it so that there is no "single point of failure" or there should not be a single point of disturbance that will cause the entire system to be disrupted. "The most important thing is the four regions or clusters that carry out PON, namely the City and Regency of Jayapura, Mimika, and Merauke, which have analyzed how the 'FO network' and 'backbone network' are," he said.
Asrif explained, if one of these areas has broken links, there will already be a "back up link", meanwhile Mimika and Merauke Regencies are safe. "As for the City and Regency of Jayapura, there are several scenarios that are expected to be completed in early August 2021," he said again.
Asrif added, all the possibilities have been analyzed and preparations have been made, but technically it will only be prepared in early August 2021 before the implementation of the PON.
