OPM Barriers to Development in Papua

The brutality of the OPM must end because it harms the community a lot, including hindering ongoing development. The government and the people of Papua should work together to stop their brutality in killing civilians. Moreover, the civilians who were killed were workers in the construction of passageways, which the Papuan people really need to improve their welfare.

Accelerating development and the welfare of the people in Nduga Regency are commitments that the government must achieve, but they often get interference from the Papuan KKB.

President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has paid special attention to the construction of the Trans Papua road to reduce prices for basic necessities. If development continues to be hampered by the Papuan KKB action, then the people who will ultimately be affected are the people.

Danrem 172 / PWY, Brig. Gen. Izak Pangemanan, warned the Papuan KKB, especially the leadership of Egianus Kogoya, not to interfere with development in Nduga.

"Because in the end what is affected is the community," said Izak.

So once again, Izak warned, the Papuan KKB, especially the leadership of Egianus Kogoya, not to interfere with development in Nduga.
