The General Chairperson of the Central KONI, Lt. Gen. (ret) Marciano Norman, revealed that Jayapura Regency is very ready and has a commitment from the Jayapura Regent and his people to welcome the contingent at the XX Papua PON event which is scheduled to take place from 2-15 October 2021.
"The response from the Jayapura district government was extraordinary. This indicates that the implementation of PON XX here will certainly go well and there will be positive things achieved as a result of the implementation of the XX PON itself," said Chairman of the Central KONI Marciano Norman at the event. Chef de Mission (CdM) Meeting II in Jayapura via the Jayapura Regency government website, Thursday.
Marciano admitted that Jayapura Regency's readiness was good because in general the preparation was extraordinary for the holding of the XX Papua PON.
"We are the Central KONI with CdM participants from 32 provinces who attended Jayapura Regency to get a report from the Jayapura Regent about the readiness of the Jayapura Regency PON Sub PB in the implementation of PON XX 2021," he said.
The Chairperson of KONI Marciano hopes that the successful implementation of PON and successful achievements but also the economic success of the community is our common hope.
Meanwhile, Jayapura Regent Mathius Awoitauw discussed the readiness of accommodation for participants of PON XX 2021 in Papua who will be present in the implementation of multi-branch national sports have been prepared in advance to receive PON Papua participants in the Jayapura Regency cluster.
Admittedly, the PON and PB PON sub-committee are located in the same area of Jayapura City and Regency. So the location is not too far away, the readiness of hotels and inns has been booked and how many shelters in various regions have been involved and all of the preparations are already underway.
"So I am optimistic and sure that everything can be fulfilled," added Mathius Awoitauw, Head of the Jayapura Regency PON Sub-PB.
