The growth of the Papua Province Human Development Index (HDI) in the last five years is believed to have continued to improve even though nationally it is relatively the lowest and is in the lowest position.
Reporting from Papua.go.id, Monday (29/3/2021) Assistant of the Papua Regional Secretary for the Economy and People's Welfare, Muhammad Musa'ad said that the growth of Papua's HDI in the last year was seen in the increase in Life Expectancy (UMH) to 68, 79 years.
Where the expected length of schooling (HLS) becomes 11.08 years, even though the average length of schooling (RLS) is 6.69 years.
Then there is per capita expenditure that has increased from 2018 to 2019 to 7,336, it's just that it has decreased due to Covid-19 to 6,959 in 2020.
"And indeed the HDI conditions in the regencies / cities in Papua are uneven due to geographical, social, cultural and political factors as well as security," he explained.
He added that the development planning process in Papua Province is currently continuing, ahead of the remaining two years of Governor Lukas Enembe's tenure.
Therefore, at the end of the leadership of the Governor and Deputy Governor of Papua, his party encouraged all OPDs to be able to prepare monumental development programs to become the pride of the community.
"Apart from the XX PON venue and other infrastructure that has been built at this time," he said.
Papua Bappeda Head Yohanes Walilo said there are a number of development priorities that must be translated into each SKPD Work Plan (Renja) in 2022, with macro targets.
Among them are the HDI projection of 62.27, the projection poverty figure of 25.89, the projected economic growth of 5.64, the GDP per capita without mining projected 48.23, the Gini projection ratio is 0.0380, the projected open development level is 3.60, the regional connectivity is projected 70, and projected GHG emission intensity of 0.31.
