PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk (TLKM) is ready to support and succeed the entire agenda of the XX Papua National Sports Week (PON) which will take place on October 2-14, 2021.
This was conveyed by GM LGS Government Service Division Yanto Setiawan in front of the PB PON Papua group which was led directly by General Secretary (Sekum) Elia Loupatty.
The meeting that took place at the Living Lab. Smart City, Gunung Sahari, Central Jakarta was also attended by the Head of the Papua Communication and Information Agency, Jery A. Yudianto, the PON XX Papua Broadcaster Team, the ICT Sector and the Secretary for Public Relations and PPM PON XX Papua.
GM LGS Government Service Division, Yanto Setiawan, said that Telkom is ready to supply ICT infrastructure during the XX PON event in Papua.
"PON is a national event, we as BUMN must be ready, one month before the implementation of PON, the supporting infrastructure facilities are ready to test all equipment, we certainly anticipate the peak, at the opening of PON, internet speed must be good," he said.
Yanto explained, PB PON and PT Telkom need to sit together again to discuss all the needs of the Telkom network that will enter the venue, because PT Telkom itself has allocated a budget for network infrastructure development to the PON venue, but is still waiting for an execution order from the leadership.
"In principle we are ready, as a state-owned company, Telkom Group deserves to take part in the success of this four-year sporting event," he said.
Meanwhile, the General Secretary of PB PON Papua, Elia Loupatty said this coordination was in order to ensure PT Telkom's support regarding the implementation of PON XX in 2021 at Bumi Cenderawasih.
He said that the success of the inauguration of the Lukas Enembe stadium and a number of other venues, last October 23, could not be separated from the support of PT. Telkom.
However, his party wants to guarantee the availability of telecommunication facilities both at the Lukas Enembe stadium as a venue for the opening and closing ceremonies of PON and the venue in each cluster.
"Prior to Jakarta, we had visited PT Telkom Papua and Makassar, now we are here with only one request, the availability of telecommunication facilities and internet services in all locations for the XX PON," said Loupatty.
Loupatty explained, PB PON Papua has received the Budget Plan (RAB) sent by PT Telkom. However, his party hopes that PT Telkom and PT PLN must be ready one month before the implementation of PON.
Sebeb, friends from other fields in PB PON must provide other supporting facilities at each venue, so we really hope for the support from PT Telkom.
The meeting will be followed up again after PT Telkom has held an internal meeting, including with its subsidiaries. Furthermore, a joint meeting will be held to make an agreement.
