The Manokwari regional election candidate must obey the health protocol

Chairman of the Manokwari Regional General Election Commission (KPUD), Abdul Muin Salewe, reminded the two candidate pairs participating in the Manokwari Regional Election to comply with the campaign implementation procedures during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Technically, the campaign is limited to indoor, and is limited to a maximum of 50 participants with the standard implementation of health protocols.

This is based on the amendment of a number of articles in PKPU 6 and 10 which were changed to PKPU Number 13 of 2020 concerning the implementation of limited campaigns for Pilkada participating candidates.

The head of the Manokwari District Prosecutor's Office, Damly Rowelcis, emphasized that elements of the Prosecutor and Police who are members of the 2020 Pilkada integrated law enforcement team (gakumdu) will also monitor all the activities of the Manokwari Pilkada candidates.

If the candidate pair number 1 and 2 of the contestants for the Manokwari Regional Election do not comply with the health protocol, then there are consequences imposed on each candidate pair by the organizers.

“Posko Pilkada [center Gakumdu] has been activated, involving Bawaslu, prosecutors and police. If there is a violation related to the Pilkada, please report it, we will analyze whether it falls into the category of election or administrative violations, "said Damly.
