The Banten Futsal Team conducts a physical test in the Regional Training Center (Pelatda) program. This was done to maximize results at the XX Papua National Sports Week (PON).
This test is the first step in preparing a one-year preparation program for the Banten futsal players. Through this physical test, a program to reach peak performance will be made, on the third Sunday of September during the implementation of the futsal sport at PON Papua.
This became the concern of Banten Futsal Coach Affri Afdalah, after receiving information from the PON Grand Committee (PB), that the futsal sport was held earlier before the PON was officially held in October.
His party deliberately conducted a physical test using the bleep test method, this was done as part of an adaptation to conditions in Papua.
"We deliberately did a bleep test outside the Sports Hall, this is to start a habit of training with hot conditions. We want the players to adapt to the hot weather in Papua, we will change the hours to daytime training," he said
From the physical tests that have been carried out, according to the Assistant Coach for Physical Affairs, Boy Prima, the player's ability is in accordance with the minimum score achieved by the athlete. The reason is that the average bleep test results that a player takes to reach level 10, which is the lowest obtained by athletes, is in the position of goalkeeper.
"If calculated that the average team gets level 10 back 1, the VO2 max is 47.1. For the futsal player standard VO 2 max is 50, so it is not too far to catch up in one year of preparation," he said.
