Corona Virus Outbreak does not dampen Investors to Invest in Indonesia |
The Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) ensures that investor interest in investing in Indonesia does not go down amid the outbreak of a new type of Corona Virus or COVID-19.
Investment Committee for Communication and Information of BKPM Rizal Calvary Marimbo in a written statement in Jakarta on Saturday said that the conviction was based on data on the issuance of the Main Business Number (NIB), which on average was still around a thousand per day.
Until Friday (20/3) at 12.00 West Indonesian Time, it was recorded that BKPM had issued 1,078 NIBs with a business permit of 3,314. "We check at the dashboard of the BKPM command center, it turns out that investor interest has not declined," said Rizal.
According to Rizal, which is unique in the last few months, although the Corona Virus issue is endemic in various countries, the interest of investors to invest in the country has not declined. In fact, investors are also looking for NIB to BKPM, even on holidays both Saturday and Sunday.
"On average, it is above 100 NIB during holidays," he said.
In accordance with Presidential Instruction Number 7 of 2019 concerning the Acceleration of Ease of Business, after obtaining an NIB the investor no longer takes care of the licenses in the ministries and institutions because other sectoral licensing is already under the responsibility of BKPM.
"At present 22 ministries and institutions have offices in BKPM. So, entry and exit have already been at BKPM. There is no need for investors to go back and forth alone or wander off to other ministries. Enter at BKPM and exit also at BKPM," Rizal concluded.
