Otsus is evidence of the central government's attention to Papua

Yanto Elluay, Ondofolo Sentani said that recently saw and heard there were some individuals and groups who rejected the plan to extend the Special Autonomy (Otsus), even the rejection was also made by religious leaders who should not respond to this, let alone intervene.

Regarding this, Yanto responded that suspicion arose because we had to admit that Otsus was evidence of the Central Government's concern for Papua and that there were no other provinces in Indonesia, lest those who rejected Otsus's evaluation were the recipients of Otsus itself.

"Responding to these incidents for us is a suspicion in itself because we have to admit that Otsus is evidence of the Central Government's concern for Papua and no other province in Indonesia has received such pre-vocation, so that when there is rejection of the Otsus evaluation, we should not accept it because there are elements. recipients of special autonomy funds who do not want to and cannot be held accountable for it, "he added.

He said that the huge special autonomy funds could be used for the welfare of the people and develop the potential of both natural resources and human resources in Papua.

Support came from Ondofolo Sentani, he conveyed that the extension of Otsus and his evaluation was certain that his party was supportive because like it or not it must be admitted that the Papua Province's original revenue to date is insignificant and must depend on Otsus.

"Regarding the support for the extension of Otsus and its evaluation, it is certain that his party supports it, because like it or not, it must be admitted that the Papua Province's original regional income is not significant and must depend on special autonomy funds to survive," he concluded.
