Papuan Children in Maybrat Learn with the Police in the 'Teaching Police' Program

Personnel from the West Papua Regional Police Binmas Directorate held a Teaching Police program for children. Not only that, West Papua Regional Police Binmas also provided trauma healing in Puso Village and Segior Village, Ayamaru District, Maybrat Regency, on Sunday (7/26) afternoon.

"The personnel taught the children about how to love the country of Indonesia from an early age. This activity was carried out by West Papua Regional Police Dirbinmas, Commissioner Pol Bagijo Hadi Kurnijanto," said West Papua Regional Police Head of Public Relations, AKBP Adam Erwindi.

He said, by teaching children to love the country early on, they will understand the spirit of nationalism.

"We hope that these children will be able to become the next generation of the nation who are reliable, and can be proud of themselves or the nation and state of Indonesia," he said.

He again explained, the Police personnel also invited children to learn to read and count while playing by coloring the pictures that had been provided.

"Looks of joy emanated from the faces of the children in the village when participating in the activity. The purpose of this activity is to get closer and introduce the police to children, and foster a spirit of nationalism, encourage play, and study together," concluded the Head of Public Relations.
