Finally, Direct Cash Assistance (BLT) funds sourced from village funds to the community began to be distributed by the Yakonde Village Government.

The distribution of BLT funds was handed over directly by the Head of the Yakonde Village to the Ondoapi of the Yakonde Village in the Yakonde Village Hall on Saturday (06/06) morning.

In his direction, Village Head of Yakonde, Yakob Daimoi said, the distribution of BLT funds was the first stage for April with a total family of 600 thousand.

"Furthermore, for May and June will be distributed later after the April distribution report to the Jayapura Regency Community Empowerment Service (DPMK)," he explained

The distribution of BLT funds is channeled based on central government regulations and technical guidelines from Jayapura Regency DPMK so that they work accordingly.

According to him, BLT funds were distributed to the community due to the covid pandemic 19, because it was expected that the use of BLT could support the strengthening of local food that was being carried out by residents so that more people in the village without having to go to the city to avoid the spread of covid-19.

"We hope that BLT funds can be used as well as possible to answer the family's food needs and other needs, not to use for other purposes that do not provide benefits," he hoped.

In the same place, one of the beneficiaries who is also the Ondoapi of Yakonde Village, Nikolas Daimoi expressed his gratitude to the government who sympathized with the community through the distribution of BLT funds.

"During the covid pandemic 19, we really needed the help of this BLT fund to answer the needs of families," he said.

Ondoapi appealed to all indigenous peoples who are the beneficiaries of BTL to receive these funds with one heart and continue to comply with the government's call for implementing health protocols.
