TNI READY TO HELP PROVINCES TO INCREASE ECONOMY IN MAMTA TRADITIONAL AREAS

In the covid-19 pandemic situation, local food independence is highly needed, the Provincial Government of Papua has launched a better economic improvement for the community in the Mamta area through agriculture, fisheries, industry, trade, cooperatives and SMEs, especially the development of superior commodities such as sago, cocoa, cultivation fisheries and animal husbandry to be carried out in Yokiwa village, Jayapura Regency.

Related to this, Danrem 172 / PWY Col. Inf Izak Pangemanan conveyed that he was ready to help the Papua provincial government and also the community to realize that goal.

"We from Korem 172 / PWY are ready to help at any time, we are ready to help whatever is needed, we can also be a facilitator to bridge to those who can help", Izak said at the inaugural meeting discussing the Papua provincial aid program located in the village Yokiwa, Jayapura Regency, Tuesday (5/19).

According to him, Yokiwa village is an area that is very suitable to be used as an example or model as an independent village. With such vast land is a huge potential to be managed.

"This plan will be in vain if the community does not have the enthusiasm to advance this village. The opportunity given by the provincial government must be used as an opportunity to advance because not all regions have great opportunities like this, "said Danrem.

He hopes that the role of the younger generation in Yokiwa village will be greater. "You are the next generation of the nation and also the generation who will continue to advance this village as a pilot village that is able to be independent without assistance from the government. You will also be given special training in the fields of agriculture, fisheries and others related to this program plan ", he said.
