The TNI provided food supplies to 32 dormitories and 22 orphanages

The ranks of the TNI from Korem 172 / PWY again provided food assistance to 32 student dormitories and 22 orphanages in Jayapura City, Jayapura Regency and Keerom Regency.

The aid was symbolically given to representatives by the Korem Commander (Danrem) 172 / PWY Col. Inf J. Binsar Parluhutan Sianipar at the Fak-Fak Student Dormitory, Jalan Buper Waena, Heram District, Jayapura City, Monday.

Danrem said that the activity was part of Korem 172 / PWY activities to carry out activities in the context of caring for COVID-19 and also assistance in the framework of carrying out the Territorial Operations for the Fiscal Year 2020.

"We are targeting student dormitories because you are children and people who will continue the current generations of Papuans. We hope that you will stay at home learning and maintain good health, "Danrem said.

One of the goals remains at home, he said, is to develop Papuan human resources because it is only by learning and healthy body conditions that Papua can progress further

"Including the orphanages, that is where the children are being treated, they may not be as fortunate as us who have parents. But they are also young people of the nation's people who have the same potential as us to be able to develop this land, "said Col J Inf. Binsar P Sianipar.

Meanwhile, the Coordinator of the Fak-Fak Boarding House Mess Board in Jayapura, Arnold Patipi expressed his gratitude for the assistance given by Korem 172 / PWY.

"This assistance is very meaningful for all of us students in this hostel. Because our parents also in the village cannot send food allowance as is usually related to social restrictions, "said Arnold.

He claimed the assistance was the second time he had received it. The first was from the Papua Provincial Social Service and now from Korem 172 / PWY
