The TNI-Polri officers are still pursuing a number of Armed Criminal Group (KKB) leaders involved in a series of violence in Papua. Two of them are Lekagak Telenggen and Abu Bakar Kogoya, in addition to the two there are also Military Murib and Yunus Kobogau.
As reported, the TNI-Polri collaboration in pursuing and carrying out law enforcement against the KKB or the Free Papua Organization began to bear fruit. Seven people were shot dead and one was captured alive.
According to the Papua Regional Police Chief Paulus Waterpauw, the group led by Lekagak and Abu Bakar was carrying out a number of violations of the law on Cenderawasih. These included the hostage-taking of three teachers in Aroanop on 15 February 2020 and the shooting in Zipabera Village, Tembagapura District on 28 February 2020 which resulted in Bharada Doni Priyanto being killed.
Also shooting at Tembagapura Police Patrol car in Kampung Utikini, Tembagapura District on March 2, 2020, shooting of TNI 754 Post in Opitawak, Tembagapura 5 and 6 March 2020, burning buildings in Opitawak Block A on March 6, 2020, and burning the Opitawak Village office on 7 March 2020 March 2020.
Others were involved in a shootout with the Nemangkawi Task Force and the Satgas Aman Nusa Brimob in Utikini Kampung Tembagapura District on March 9, 2020, the church burning in Opitawak on March 13, 2020, and the shooting of PT Freeport Indonesia employees in the Kuala Kencana area on March 30, 2020.
This also included firing contacts with the Amole Brimob Iwaka Task Force on April 3, 2020 and the shooting of a food and escort car at MP 61 Tembagapura on April 11, 2020.
For this reason, the joint TNI-Polri team has made law enforcement efforts against them. The identity of the KKB members killed were Lani Magai, Nopen Waker, Nico, Lera Magai, Tandi Kogoya, Manu Kogoya, and Suffering Walia. While Ivan Sambom was arrested for acting as a spy.
