Even though the conditions in the region and security in Papua were not conducive, all of this did not dampen the enthusiasm and high motivation of TNI members who were members of the 107th TMMD Task Force both at Kodim 1701 / Jayapura and at Kodim 1707 / Merauke to develop in the area as a form the unity of the TNI with the people and the role of the TNI in developing the country, especially in disadvantaged areas.

Kapendam XVII / Cenderawasih Colonel Cpl Eko Daryanto explained that the TNI Manunggal Building Village Program (TMMD) was a TNI service program that began in 1980 and was carried out in an integrated manner between the TNI, Departments / Non-Departmental Institutions and the community.

"The TMMD program that has been going on for more than 37 years, and the benefits are increasingly felt by the community are still very much needed by the community, because most of Indonesia's territory is rural, underdeveloped, remote and isolated, so the presence of the TNI to build infrastructure and infrastructure in that region is still very relevant, "Kapendam explained.

Furthermore, this activity is also to support the realization of a formidable struggle, space and strength (RAK), the TNI chose TMMD as a form of devotion, in addition to being an effort by the TNI to preserve historical values, especially the value of TNI Unity with the People.

Bearing this in mind, although this activity is quite strenuous due to the location that is difficult to reach and the disturbances of separatist groups in Papua, Kodam XVII / Cenderawasih will still try to develop the area so that the people there get the same welfare as other regions which are earlier developed.

"Although the building is difficult to reach and there are disturbances, Kodam XVII / Cenderawasih through Kodim 1701 / Jayapura and Kodim 1707 / Merauke continue to develop in the border and interior areas of Papua," said Kapendam.

Kapendam also said that the success of the development (TMMD) this time was thanks to the support, participation and involvement of all parties during the 107th TMMD implementation. Given the conditions and terrain to go to collation, it has become one of the challenges for all members of the Task Force, as well as other parties who have helped to succeed the 107th TMMD activity.
