He exclaimed TNI Soldiers and Rambutan Harvest Residents in the Papua New Guinea Border

TNI Soldiers from the 411 / Pandawa Raider Mechanical Infantry Battalion (Infantry Battalion MR 411 / Pdw) Kostrad who are members of the RI-PNG Pamtas Task Force, assisted one of his assistants in harvesting rambutan fruit in Sipias Village, Eligobel District, Merauke Regency, Papua, Monday (6) / 4/2020).

RI-PNG Dansatgas Pamtas Yonif MR 411 / Pdw Kostrad Major Inf Rizky Aditya said, Sipias Village, located in Eligobel District, about 200 km from Merauke City, is one of the transmigration villages on the border of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea. The area is known as rambutan-producing area and when the harvest season arrives the villagers are busy with harvesting activities in their gardens.

"Personnel 411 Kostrad Satgas Pamtas RI-PNG Pos Kotis led by Danton Waltis Letda Inf Moch Setyo Dwi Purnomo along with six of his members helped harvest rambutan in the garden owned by Suwanto (53 years)," he said.

According to Major Inf Rizky Aditya, helping harvest rambutan is to tighten the relationship and create the unity of the TNI and the people. In addition, the activity is also a form of support to improve the economy of the target people.

"Activities like this can foster togetherness and motivate citizens to be more enthusiastic and work hard to improve maximum yields," he hoped.

Suwanto, who is the owner of the garden, expressed his gratitude to the Task Force Battalion MR 411 / Pdw Kostrad for helping him carry out rambutan harvesting to deliver the harvest to his house. "The presence of the Sattas Pamtas, the Pos Kotis here, really helped us. "They are all like a part of the border community, thank you very much again, ladies and gentlemen," he said.
