| TNI-Polri and Satpol PP Regulate Naughty Traders in Wamena |
In order to follow up on the instructions of the Jayawijaya Regent regarding the prevention of Covid-19, a joint apparatus from the Polres, Kodim 1702 / JWY and the local Satpol PP carried out a curbing order for traders who were still selling outside the specified hours.
Giat who was led directly by the Jayawijaya Police Chief AKBP Dominggus Rumaropen, S. Sos, MM together with Dandim 1702 / JWY toured around Wamena City to urge these rogue traders to close their shops in accordance with the Jayawijaya Regent's instructions.
The Head of the Police Resort emphasized that this policing measure would be routinely held every afternoon until the deadline for the Covid-19 preventive emergency response was finished so that people could stay at home and not carry out activities outside the home.
"In addition to curbing the traders, we also appeal to the community to return to their homes and not do gatherings, as recommended by the current government," he continued.
This was done in order to reduce the spread of Corona virus in this area. The public is asked to do social distancing and physical distancing and it must be obeyed by all parties.
It is said, according to the Government's deadline at 16:00 Wit, all people are asked not to do activities and are advised to stay at home for the safety and health of all people.
