The Nemangkawi Task Force has arrested the Papua KKB weapons supplier

The Nemangkawi Operation Law Enforcement Task Force has arrested sellers, buyers, and deliverers of weapons and ammunition that will be sent to armed criminal groups (KKB) in Papua and West Papua.

Head of the Public Information Bureau of the Police Public Relations Division Brigjen Pol. Raden Prabowo Argo Yuwono, through a press release from the Nemangkawi Operation Public Relations Task Force received by ANTARA in Jakarta on Wednesday, said there were three suspects arrested.

He mentioned the initials of the three, namely JI (26) residents of Manado who acted as weapons intermediaries from the Philippines-Manado-Manokwari, FR (34) residents of Manado as weapons sellers, and RIB (22) as buyers.

Argo explained the chronology of the arrest began from JI on Friday (20/3) at around 04.50 East Indonesian Time after disembarking from the Labobar Ship at the Port of Manokwari, Papua.

"After the stalking and investigation, finally the Nemangkawi Operation Task Force arrested and secured the perpetrators when they got off the Lababor Ship," he said.

The JI perpetrators were the targets of the Nemangkawi Task Force's operations which had been monitored for 27 days or since the person departed from Timika City, Papua to Manado.

On Monday (23/3) at 20.30 WITA, the Task Force for Operation Nemangkawi 2020 captured the FR at his residence, Kelurahan Bailang Lingk 3, Bunaken District, Manado City.

Moving quickly, the Task Force on Operation Nemangkawi 2020 arrested the RIB suspect in Wanea District, Manado City, Monday (23/3) at 23.30 WITA, then secured 1 firearm and 1 9 mm ammunition stored in black duct tape.

The evidence secured from the JI suspect is 1 US Carabin firearm, 1 38 SCP firearm, 1 Caspion caliber 45 firearm, 1 Baby Uzi 9 mm.

The following 67 rounds of ammunition with details of 8.4 mm ammunition were 22 items, cal 38 ammunition as many as 15 items, as many as 15 ammunition cal 45, and 9 mm ammunition as many as 15 items.

Meanwhile, from the RIB suspect, 1 black 6-cylinder revolver was secured and 1 9 mm cal-ammunition, eight units of various types of cellphones and 1 passbook in the name of RIB along with an ATM card.
