The implementation of Papua PON XX will certainly continue to run in October 2020 amid the spread of the Corona or Covid-19 virus.

Chairperson of the Papua PON XX Supervisory and Steering Committee (Panwasrah), Suwarno said, related to the spread of the Corona virus, his party followed the government who wanted the spread of this virus to end soon.

"When it comes to that, we don't want to follow the Government. Everyone also wants the virus problem to be resolved soon," he said during an interview on Seputarpapua.com at the Ultima Timika Horsion Hotel, Thursday (12/3).

Suwarno said, the committee is currently focusing on planning processes towards PON XX Papua.

"Yes, we will continue to run it. We hope that this virus will not interfere," he said.

He said the Minister of Health also always said that the Government wanted to minimize the spread of this virus so that all activities could run normally.

"We have coordinated with the minister of health. Minister of Health has also often said that we want to minimize this so that normal activities, and who would want to get sick right," he explained.

He hopes that the problem of the spread of Covid-19 can be resolved quickly so that it does not interfere with social life, including the implementation of the XX PON later.

"I don't think for example, because right now this target is how to get to PON, we hope that it won't be disturbed by other factors," he hoped.
