PON as Papua's development momentum

In 2020 Papuans must be happy. Because the earth of paradise will be held the National Sports Week (PON).

In addition to being a sport competition that can prove the best talents of Papuan sports, the implementation of PON in Papua is also considered capable of boosting tourist destinations and the economy of Papuans. So that it is the pride of development momentum for Papua.

This is important because the PON XX of 2020 will be attended by around 18,000 athletes and officials. Of course, this presence can trigger trade transactions on handicrafts, agriculture, and plantations as well as other local superior products from Papua.

Along with the shadowing of security issues that often occur a number of armed clashes between security forces and armed criminal groups who want to disturb peace and development of the Earth of Paradise, the TNI, Polri and BIN have guaranteed and said that the implementation of PON XX in Papua will take place safely and smoothly.

In order to succeed in this major national event, synergy between the central and regional governments together, the TNI, Polri, BIN and the community is needed, so that the success of PON in Papua is not just a successful implementation but also a successful sports achievement and success as a balancing bridge between the western regions and east which is a national pride in the eyes of the world that the Government of Indonesia has succeeded in developing Papua and Papua is Indonesia.

This important role must be carried out and become the concern of all parties so that the PON event can run smoothly and successfully so that the positive impact can be felt by future generations and grandchildren.

We must be optimistic, the implementation of PON Papua will provide significant changes to the Land of Papua. So that the earth of paradise is no longer underestimated and the world must recognize that Indonesia is a large and advanced nation.
