Keerom Customary Council invites the public together with the corona virus opponents

Chairman of the Keerom Customary Council, Serfo Tuamis, has invited the community to prevent corona covid-19 from reaching villages in the remote areas of Keerom Regency. This appeal was distributed to the people of the district which borders directly with the state of Papua New Guinea.

"Prevention is better than cure. The development of the covid-19 virus is a homework for all elements, both the government and the community," he said, Saturday (28/3).

To that end, the Keerom Customary Council asks all parties to follow the rules and policies that have been implemented by the government, to prevent corona.

"In the meantime, the community must limit events that direct the crowds. We also limit meetings, meetings or family events. These must be maintained because corona is very vulnerable to transmission," Serfo said.

By following this action, the Keerom Customary Council believes that the community will break the chain of distribution of corona. "The Keerom Customary Council will coordinate with the government or the Indonesian National Armed Forces in relation to community needs to prevent corona," he explained.
