Japan Biak cave mini museum for historical preservation |
Police Chief of Biak Numfor AKBP Mada Indra Laksanta said the Japan Mini Goa Museum was built by Police personnel to preserve historical values.

"The construction of this museum is a form of concern for the tourist destination of Goa Japan, which in our opinion must be arranged and maintained properly so that the items from the war can be maintained," said the AKBP.

He expressed his gratitude to the Japanese Ambassador to Indonesia Ishi Masafumi during a visit to Biak on Thursday (20/02) and inaugurated the Japan Goa Mini Museum.

"The inauguration of the Japanese Goa Museum is one of the agenda of the visit of the Japanese ambassador and his entourage to Biak after previously visiting the World War II Monument in Paray which is also a historic location for Japan, a place where thousands of Japanese troops died in war with allied troops," he said .

The inauguration of the Japanese mini cave museum was marked by an inscription signature by Japanese Ambassador Ishii Masafumi, Biak Numfor Regent Herry Ario Naap and Biak Numfor Police Chief followed by ribbon scissors and surrender of the museum key to the Head of Binsari Village Joseph Rumaropen as manager.

"We hope that the museum can be useful for the development of Goa Japan tourist destinations and can improve the economy of the local community," he said.

It is said, the Biak Numfor Regional police initiated the construction of these two museums in Binsari to reorganize the historical relics of World War II in the Goa Japan area to keep them awake.

"The construction of these two museums can be realized until it can be inaugurated thanks to the cooperation with several related parties and the full support of the Biak Numfor Regent," he said.

The two museums that were inaugurated are the outdoor museums that are used to display Jeep Cars and several large historical relics and indoor museums to display a variety of small historical heritage items.

While for the area around Goa Tourism Japan is made more modern and instagramable to be able to attract more visitors to take pictures to enjoy historical tours on the island of Biak.

"We make this for the community, so that it will be managed by the community itself. So, it can improve the welfare of the local community as well, in addition to being able to maintain this historical heritage so that our children and grandchildren can see it," said the Chief of Police.

The Chief of Police hopes that all of these historical relics can be maintained, and with what has been built in Goa, Japan can continue to be developed in order to increase the welfare of the local community.
