A Mobile Library Comes to Merauke in Papua Indonesia |
Task Force Infantry Battalion 411 / Pandawa Infantry Battalion Task Force (Battalion MR 411 / Pdw) Kostrad Pos Toray, visits elementary school children by presenting a window of knowledge through the Mobile Library Smart Car at the YPK Toray Elementary School, Toray District, Sota District, Kab. Merauke, Papua.

In the mobile library this time, Pos Toray personnel were led by Danpos Toray Letda Inf Wesly Tanaem along with seven of their members present the Mobile Library Smart Car or nicknamed "The Dragon" at Toray YPK Elementary School.
"We want to cultivate the love of reading for Papuan children from an early age, in addition to expanding knowledge and insight, as the saying goes that reading books is a window to the world. At the end of the program, Pos Toray personnel also distributed a glass of milk to the children as a nutritional supplement, "said Major Rizky Aditya,
He also added, programs in the field of education continued to support the advancement of education at the border. "In addition to the mobile library, activities to help teach and provide tutoring continue to be carried out routinely by Task Force personnel who have the target area," he said.
Meanwhile, Captain Arm Imam Ari Setiawan as the Smart Car Coordinator who came with four Kout Sota Post personnel said that the mobile library was a program to eradicate illiteracy in the RI-PNG border.
"We will routinely go around visiting the Task Force Posts that have schools in the target area," he said.
One of YPK Toray Elementary School Teachers, Ms. Jemima S. Tahiya expressed her gratitude to the Task Force Battalion MR 411 / Pdw Kostrad, especially the Toray Post who has presented a Mobile Library for students in their schools.
"This activity has become a special spirit for our students, it looks like the children are very enthusiastic to read the books provided, of course it is very useful," he said.
