| 28 thousand seeds are ready to rejuvenate the Cycloop Nature Reserve |
Yahim Baptist Church Sunday School Youth and Managers prepare as many as 28 thousand plant seeds to reforest the Cycloop Nature Reserve area. As a preparatory stage, they have cleared the land at the planting site.

"This is the third activity (in) clearing land and paths (planting) and planting poles (piles). The plan is for the planting to take place on Monday or Tuesday, "said Pastor Yahim Baptist Church Congregation Pastor Yonas Kalem, Thursday (02/06/2020).

The land clearing and the final preparations for planting were carried out for three days. The activity was also attended by members of the Yahim Baptist Church Women's Alliance.

"(The existence) of trees is very important for the continuation of life and human life. Therefore, we involve the congregation and youth (Church) and Sunday school so that they learn about (care about) the benefits of trees, "Yonas said.

Yonas hopes that the existence of trees will be maintained and protected after planting. He did not want the tree to have the same fate as the greening program that the government has often done so far.

"Sometimes it (the reforestation program) breaks (stops) until it is planted. Land (after that) is no longer considered so that the grass is high and many trees die. If possible, care is taken until the tree produces (produces), "he explained.

The Yahim Baptist Church brought seeds from the area around Sentani, Abepura, and Java Island for greening in the Cycloop Nature Reserve. The seeds are planned to be planted on a 500 meter stretch.

"The planting land has been cleared. Planting distance (each tree) is about 4 × 8 meters, "said the coordinator of Boy Kogoya's activities.
