Papua is One in Peace |
Rev. Yosina Wospakrik hopes that the 165th anniversary of the Gospel Preparation in Papua will have meaning for Christians to create peace.
He invited Christians in Jayawijaya Regency, Papua Province to get along well with immigrants and not to make differences in skin color, hair shape as a separator between humans.
"This PI warning must mean that we can bring peace between one another. Not hating each other, not seeing each other is different, but how all can become one in peace," he said.
He also invited local residents to be examples of goodness for all people in other areas, invites people to leave behavior that is contrary to the teachings of God and apply kindness in themselves.
On that occasion the Regent invited village heads to support the construction of houses of worship by allocating half of the Village Allocation Fund (DAK) received each year.
"We will coordinate with the district head if there are villages who want to provide assistance for the construction of houses of worship, that is not a problem," he said.
The service that took place in the open field was attended by thousands of people and performed dances in traditional clothing.
