The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is again examining witnesses in the bribery case that ensnared the Governor of Papua Lukas Enembe. Today, Tuesday, December 13 2022, the Corruption Eradication Commission examines The Groove Epicentrum Manager, Ita Sari Mutiana S. Abas.
Ita underwent an examination at the KPK's Red and White Building. He was seen to have arrived at 10.30 WIB.
KPK spokesperson, Ali Fikri, stated that the investigation was related to a project funded by the Papua Province Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD).
"The witness is being questioned in connection with the bribery case for the Papua provincial budget project with the suspect Lukas Enembe," Ali said in a written statement.
The KPK has named Lukas Enembe as a suspect in the alleged bribery case for a number of infrastructure development projects in Papua. The Democratic Party politician was summoned twice to undergo questioning, but he was absent. Lukas was absent due to illness.
KPK chairman Firli Bahuri led a team of investigators to examine Lukas at his residence in Jayapura, Papua on November 3, 2022. The KPK also brought a team of doctors plus representatives from the Indonesian Doctors Association.
The KPK did not grant Lukas' request for treatment in Singapore
Lukas' lawyer later submitted a request so that his client could undergo treatment in Singapore. However, this request has not been granted by the KPK. They stated that they would only accept the request if Lukas had a recommendation from the Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM) or Gatot Subroto Army Central Hospital (RSPAD).
Luke Enembe's fat account
Apart from being caught in corruption cases, Lukas is also being targeted in connection with a number of suspicious transactions in his personal accounts and those of his family. The Financial Transaction Analysis Reporting Center (PPATK) stated that they had traced a number of flows of funds from Lukas and his family.
As a result, PPATK found a number of suspicious transactions such as the flow of funds to casinos totaling hundreds of billions. Apart from that, Lukas and his family are also said to have made purchases of luxury goods abroad.
The KPK has also summoned a number of parties related to Lukas Enembe's suspicious transaction. Among them are the Marina Bay Sands casino in Singapore, which is suspected to be the place where Lukas gambled, to the private jet charter company used by Lukas when traveling there. However, the Marina Bay Sands casino did not respond to the first summons last October.
