The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Papua Province said that entering the third week of the 2022 Socio-Economic Registration (Regsosek) implementation, 40 percent of the data collection target had been achieved.
The Coordinator of the Statistics Function of BPS Papua Social Sugiyanto in Jayapura, Tuesday (8/11) said that there are a number of areas that are difficult to reach due to their geographical location and residents who are rarely at home.
"These areas include Intan Jaya, Deyai, Lanny Jaya, Mamberamo Raya regencies and several other expansion areas that do have access that is quite difficult to reach," he said.
According to Sugiyanto, until now the officers are conducting data collection for that, his party hopes that when they return, the progress of Regsosek can reach the target of at least 50 percent so that it can provide accurate data.
"We are still optimistic that with one week remaining our target will be achieved in order to produce accurate data because it will become a database for social programs," he said.
He explained that his party hoped for active participation from all elements from the government, TNI-Polri and the community so that the Regsosek data collection could run smoothly.
"We ask the public to accept and answer questions from officers honestly in the 2022 Regsosek data collection," he said again.
He added that with the implementation of Regsosek, it could improve the database so that the social protection programs disbursed by the government could be right on target.
