Biak Numfor seeks to maintain regional inflation stability



The Biak Numfor Regency Government, Papua continues to strive to maintain the stability of regional inflation by meeting the availability of various basic needs for public consumption in the area.

Biak Deputy Regent Calvin Mansnembra said in Biak on Tuesday that he was ready to carry out the Ministry of Home Affairs' instructions to district/city governments to control the inflation rate of each region.

Through the regional inflation control team, said Deputy Regent Calvin, it is hoped that synergy and cooperation with various related parties can be increased so that the regional economy can continue to run well.

"The Biak Numfor Regency Government and stakeholders continue to maintain the stability of basic needs. Especially the types of onions and chilies for the residents so that they can be fulfilled safely every day," he said.

It was observed that various supplies of basic necessities such as rice, cooking oil, sugar, wheat flour, chicken eggs, and chicken meat were still safely stocked.

Even the selling price of basic necessities until the first week of September was still normal, including Bulog's medium rice of Rp. 55 thousand/bag of 5 kilograms, cooking oil of various brands ranging from Rp. 26 thousand to Rp. 30 thousand 7/liter, chicken eggs from Rp. 58 thousand to Rp.

Meanwhile, for basic needs, sugar is Rp. 17 thousand/Kg, chicken meat is Rp. 34 thousand/Kgaraan for firefighters and wheat flour is Rp. 13 thousand/kg.
