The Jayapura City Government through the Tourism Office this year carried out several outreach activities to the destination management community. One of them is the socialization of the management of tourism facilities and infrastructure and PKS with BPJS Employment Papua Branch in Jayapura City, Thursday (24/8).
The activity was carried out for two days from 24-25 August 2022. In this activity there was also a signing of a collaboration by the Head of Tourism of Jayapura City Mathias B Mano, with the Head of BPJS Employment Papua Jayapura Branch, I Ketut Arja Laksana witnessed by Pj. Jayapura City Secretary Robby Kepas Awi, SE., MM., at the Mercure Jayapura Hotel.
The Head of the Jayapura City Tourism Office, Mathias B Mano, said that this socialization activity was to provide support for knowledge and innovation as well as the creation of reliable human resource development resources in managing tourism facilities and infrastructure for tourism object owners.
"We also take this opportunity to sign a collaboration with BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Papua Jayapura Branch through the signing of the PKS for the socialization participants totaling 50 people, they are tourism business actors who must be protected by BPJS Employment," he said.
The Acting Secretary of the Jayapura City, Robby Kepas Awi, added that this PKS was very good between the Jayapura city government BPJS Employment Papua Branch, Jayapura, in order to provide safety guarantees and protect tourism business actors in Jayapura City, so thank you to BPJS Employment Papua, Jayapura. And this is also a form of protection attention given by the Jayapura City government.
Meanwhile, the Head of BPJS Employment Papua Branch, Jayapura, I Ketut Arja Laksana admitted that the signing of this kind of cooperation with the Jayapura city government was not the first time because many OPDs in the Jayapura City government have signed such cooperation and this is as a tangible form of the presence of BPJS Employment in protecting non ASN employees in the Jayapura City Government and others who are covered may ask for the City of Jayapura.
In addition, if a disaster does occur, whether it is an accident or death, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Papua also immediately responds to provide services in totality in accordance with its commitment and this service has been felt by the Jayapura City government.
"We hope that the Jayapura City government will continue to trust us in providing guaranteed membership services to non ASN employees and others and for those who we hope can be covered and protected," he explained.
