The chairman of the Papua Deliberative Council (Bamus), Willem Frans Ansanay, invites all Indonesians, especially Papuans to support the acceleration of Papua's development through the New Autonomous Region (DOB). The goal is to bring the span of control closer to the acceleration of development and the welfare of the people in Papua.
"I invite all Papuan people to support, let's start working to build Papua and also build the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia," he said in a press release, Saturday (8/7/2022).
Not only that, Willem Frans Ansanay also invited Papuan students, especially Papuan students in Jakarta to come forward and study hard so that they could develop Papua and support the acceleration of Papua's development through the new autonomous regions.
"DOB is very much needed to accelerate the development of Papua , therefore younger students must study hard, finish college and return to Papua to build Papua, not just be spectators," he said.
The main benefit of the new autonomous region in Papua for Papuan students is that it provides broad opportunities to take part in developing Papua, either as government employees or through politics.
He describes students who have graduated can take part in becoming employees or have a career in politics.
"The opportunity is very wide because later there will be elections and a new province that needs you, a good opportunity for you to help accelerate development and improve the welfare of the people in Papua," he said.
