Citizens' Access is Getting Easier and Faster. Papuan Youth Alliance Condemns groups rejecting DOB

The Papuan Youth Alliance strongly condemns the refusal to establish a New Autonomous Region (DOB) in Papua which is affiliated with an organization opposed to the Pancasila ideology, and chooses to voice its pro-expansion Papua. This was conveyed by the chairman of the Papuan Youth Alliance in Jayapura City, Ali Kabiay, in response to the rejection of the central government's plan to expand the New Autonomous Region (DOB) Papua and Special Autonomy (Otsus) Volume II.

"We Papuan Youth Alliance have agreed in a coordination meeting to jointly voice our aspirations to the DPRP, in support of the expansion of Papua," Ali explained. Ali said the Papuan Youth Alliance was formed on the basis of concern for the genuine voices of the people who chose to fully support the expansion. According to him, it is through the expansion of Papua that access for residents is easier and faster to reach, considering that geographically the Papua Province is very wide consisting of mountains and beaches.

"Through the expansion, access to education, health, economy and others can become easier, faster and closer to the community," he said. Therefore, pemekaran is the best way so that the fulfillment of the basic rights of the people in Papua is quickly achieved. Ali also hopes that the DPRP can hear these aspirations and make a decision soon. Because the government's plan is the best for the people in the Land of Papua. "We believe that our aspirations can be fully heard, and this is an affirmation to the outside community, that not a few Papuans support pemekaran," he concluded. Those who are members of the Papuan Youth Alliance consist of traditional leaders, representatives from indigenous territories, Papuan youth to religious leaders, who have concerns over the situation. The smiling man hopes that the Papuan Youth Alliance can become a forum for expression to convey aspirations to support the expansion of Papua. "We also want to appear and speak out, so that the public knows that there are Papuans who support the expansion," he said.
