The Joint Organization of Medical and Laboratory Equipment Companies (Gakeslab) Papua encourages the use of local electronic books (E-catalogs) so as to simplify the process of procuring equipment.
Head of the Papua Gakeslab Denny Bonai told Antara in Jayapura, Friday, saying that the existence of an E-catalog will certainly provide convenience for the relevant agencies in the process of procuring goods and services.
"Such as purchasing equipment for hospitals, where they will get certainty about the technical specifications of the goods and expectations ordered and the prices offered are also uniform," he said.
According to Denny, this is important in order to maintain the quality of the goods so that there are no reconditioning tools.
"For this reason, we will disseminate information and certify whether the company is worthy or not in selling medical devices," he said.
He explained that if a Gaskeslab member was found selling reconditioned goods, he would not hesitate to impose sanctions that could lead to the revocation of the permit.
"We want to give the best for the Papuan people, especially in the health sector like this, we will also use domestic products which are in accordance with the direction of the Head of the Central Gakeslab and the message of the Papuan provincial government," he said.
He added that apart from that, his party will also embrace more business actors so that in the future Gakeslab can be more advanced.
"From our existing data, there are only 52 registered companies for that we will invite them to join so that medical devices in Papua are not left behind," he said.
Denny Bonai was the elected Chair in the election of the third Papua Provincial Deliberation (Musprov) for the period 2022-2026 which was held (12/5) at one of the hotels in Jayapura City.
