The KPK is investigating the company's participation in the church project in Mimika

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is investigating the participation of companies working on the construction project of the Kingmi Mile 32 Church in Mimika Regency, Papua.

The investigation was carried out by the KPK through the examination of four witnesses from the private sector at the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) Representative Office of East Java Province, Tuesday (8/3).

"The witnesses were present and confirmed, including the company's participation in the construction process as one of the subcontractors working on the Kingmi Mile 32 Church construction project," said Acting KPK spokesman Ali Fikri in his statement in Jakarta, Wednesday.

Four witnesses, namely Hermash Budi Yuwono Lukman as Director of PT Waringin Megah, Kadir from the private sector/staff of PT Kuala Persada Papua Nusantara and Hendra Suhedi and Lily Lawu each from PT Waringin Megah.

Meanwhile, another witness did not attend the summons without confirming the reason for his absence to the investigative team, namely Lina Wongso from the private sector/CV Caisar.

"KPK reminds us to come back for the next summons," said Ali.

Previously, the KPK on Monday (7/3) also took place at the BPK Representative Building for East Java and examined two witnesses, namely Daem Nova Prihanto from the private sector/Project Manager coordinator for PT Waringin Megah and Achilles Hugo Krisna Noya from the private sector.

The KPK confirmed both of them regarding the technical implementation carried out by the contractor and the planning consultant where it was suspected that there were certain directions from parties related to the case to override legal rules in the process of implementing the church project work.

The KPK is currently unable to fully inform the construction of the case and who the parties have been named as suspects in the case.

As is the policy of the current KPK leadership, the publication of case construction and those who have been designated as suspects will be carried out when forced efforts have been made to either arrest or detain suspects.

The investigative team is still collecting evidence by summoning witnesses related to the case.
