The head of the West Papua Education Office, Barnabas Dowansiba, inspects the construction of a number of buildings at the Pelita Kesehatan Vocational School in Sorong Regency.
The construction of the buildings was funded by assistance from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology.
"We are monitoring the construction because the funding source is from the Ministry of Education. We will see how the funds are used and how far the absorption has been,” said the Head of the West Papua Education Office in response to Papua, 07 December 2022.
According to the Head of the West Papua Education Office, the aid funds were detained at the center because the central government had certain interests.
“Until that time, I fought with the Inspector General of the Ministry of Education until the funds were finally disbursed. Now it is possible that the construction will be completed in March," explained the Head of the West Papua Education Office.
