Andika admitted that he had pocketed the names of the perpetrators of the shootings against TNI soldiers. The TNI, said Andika, will focus on pursuing the perpetrators. But he did not add troops in Papua.
"There is no additional troop. We will continue to use those who are on duty there to carry out the tasks of the Kodim and Koramil," said Andika.
He has also confirmed to his staff that the gunfight in Gome Regency did not start from the TNI, including carrying out provocations. According to Andika, the attack actually started when the TNI soldiers were carrying out their routine tasks.
Likewise, two TNI soldiers also died early in Maybrat Regency, West Papua. They were targeted by shooting while helping build bridges for local residents.
