The struggle that was led by Benny Wenda through the United Liberation Movement for West Papua (ULMWP) is known to always be talked about, but by the KNPB Spokesperson it is considered an act of deception.
"Every time there is always new news, what the ULMWP does is always like that. But I want to emphasize that everything is a lie. ULMWP only wants to deceive the Papuan people themselves,"
Ones Suhuniap in his statement stated that the ULMWP, which often carried out various spontaneous actions, was intended only to seek sensationalism against the Papuan people. He said that the effort was only a way for the ULMWP struggle to be considered still ongoing.
"Action is just an action, claiming success in the struggle but never seeing the results. ULMWP only makes fake actions, so that people still think that they are working, even though they are not at all,"
Suhuniap even suspected that every plan or action carried out by the ULMWP was only to promote interests which would ultimately provide benefits and value for the people in the ULMWP.
"They can also look for projects to earn money, but what they have to remember is that Papuans with all their cultures and ideals are being sold by fraudsters with warrior masks,"
The KNPB spokesman also said that he had doubts about the truth of the news of the UN's arrival in Papua. This was attributed to him because ULMWP was considered to be making promises too often even though they were never realized.
"If the UN comes to Papua, I myself am willing to pick up the group. Never again will I believe in them (ULMWP) because it never really happened,"
