Biak regency government encourages Suneri village to become Papua tourism agromina



The Biak Numfor Regency Government, Papua encourages agricultural areas in Suneri Village, Yendidori District to become tourism agromina.

Biak Regent Herry Ario Naap in a written statement on Sunday said the Biak Numfor Regency Government is very supportive of preparing Suneri Village to become a tourism agromina area by assisting a number of production facilities for various local agricultural commodities.

The handover of a number of agricultural production facilities was carried out directly by the Regent, Herry Ario Naap, together with the Head of the Department of Agriculture and Food Security, I Made Suardana, at the agricultural location of the Suneri Village community in the form of production infrastructure and horticultural plant seeds, fruits and vegetables.

"Especially for the Suneri area, it will be pushed to become a tourism agromina and currently the government's attention, including in terms of developing agricultural land area and planting a number of agricultural commodities," he said.

The production facilities provided included 420 coconut tree seedlings, 60 rambutan tree seeds, 250 durian tree seedlings, 10 packs of kale, 10 packs of cabbage/cabbage.

10 packs of tomato seeds and 11 packs of mustard seeds as well as a tractor unit and 40 sacks of fertilizer (50 kg/sack) and 35 packs of insecticide.

Regent Herry Naap asked the farming community to continue to develop their agricultural businesses so that they can provide results that can provide income and at least meet the daily needs of the family.

“If it is managed properly, it is certain that this agricultural product will bring in money, which of course is not small. This assistance is certainly expected to be able to support the community in developing their agricultural businesses with various commodities,” said the youngest Regent in Papua.

He admitted that the Biak Numfor Regency Government would provide support for agricultural development in the Suneri area and even other areas in Biak Numfor.

"Various agricultural businesses continue to be developed and provide maximum results," said Regent Herry Naap.

After handing over the assistance for agricultural production facilities, the Regent was accompanied by the Chairperson of the Biak TP PKK, Numfor Ny. Ruth Naomi Naap Rumkabu observed a number of community agricultural crops and directly harvested vegetables in Suneri village.
